Use of lifting hooks
1. Choose a suitable hook
Choose a hook that matches the rated lifting capacity according to the weight, shape and size of the lifting object.
Consider the working environment, such as humid, corrosive and other environments, and choose a corrosion-resistant hook material.
2. Installation and connection
Ensure that the hook is firmly connected to the lifting mechanism of the crane. If a wire rope is used for connection, pay attention to the specifications and fixing method of the wire rope.
Check whether the pins, bolts, etc. at the connection between the hook handle and the crane are tight and reliable.
3. Check before lifting
Check whether the surface of the hook has defects such as cracks, deformation, and excessive wear.
Confirm that the anti-unhooking device of the hook is intact and effective, and can prevent the heavy object from accidentally falling off during the lifting process.
Observe whether the opening of the hook is within the specified range, which generally shall not exceed 10% of the original size.
4. Lifting operation
Lift smoothly, avoid sudden acceleration or emergency stop, and prevent the heavy object from shaking and causing impact on the hook.
Do not pull or lift obliquely, and ensure that the hook is vertically stressed to extend the service life of the hook and ensure safety.
Strictly control the lifting weight and do not exceed the rated lifting weight of the hook.
5 Maintenance and care
Clean the hook regularly to remove dirt and debris on the surface.
Lubricate the hook to reduce wear and rust.
If the hook is found to be damaged or defective, it should be stopped and repaired or replaced in time.
Use of lifting rings
1 Selection and installation
According to the weight and shape of the object to be lifted, select a ring of appropriate specifications and materials.
Ensure that the connection part of the ring is firmly connected to the object to be lifted, which can be welded, bolted, etc.
When installing the ring, ensure that it is in the correct position and the force is evenly distributed.
2 Inspection before lifting
Check whether the body of the ring has defects such as cracks and deformation.
Confirm whether the connection part of the ring is tight and reliable without looseness.
Check whether the connection between the lifting rope and the ring is correct, and there should be no twisting, knotting, etc.
3 Lifting operation
Lift slowly to avoid damage to the ring due to excessive instantaneous impact.
Keep the ring vertical to the object to be lifted, and do not lift at an angle.
Control the lifting speed to prevent the heavy objects from shaking.
4 Maintenance and care
Check the lifting rings regularly and deal with problems in time.
Treat the lifting rings with anti-corrosion to extend their service life.
When storing the lifting rings, avoid squeezing, collision and corrosion.
In short, when using lifting hooks and lifting rings, you must strictly abide by the operating procedures to ensure the safety and reliability of the lifting operation.
